The emblematic event of our Jaén Genuino Program, La Carrera Nocturna “Noche de San Juan”, has broken an all-time record since its inception eleven editions ago, reaching 1,700 registered runners—the maximum capacity allowed for the annual event. This figure had never been reached before, demonstrating the growing interest not only in the race itself but also in all the activities organized by Jaén Genuino throughout the year.

The La Carrera Nocturna Noche de San Juan has already become a tradition in the city of Jaén. On the night of June 23rd, the race will fill the streets of Jaén’s historic center with runners of all ages, who will enjoy a magical evening where sports will be paired with cultural activities.

This year’s edition maintains the four-kilometer route through some of the most emblematic streets of the historic district. The race will start at Plaza de Santa María, continuing through Campanas, Plaza de San Francisco, Ramón y Cajal, Muñoz Garnica, Ignacio Figueroa, Bernabé Soriano, Plaza San Francisco, Álamos, Colón, Plaza de la Audiencia, Martínez Molina, Virgilio Anguita, Plaza de San Bartolomé, San Bartolomé, Arroyo de San Pedro, Plaza de los Caños, Santa Cruz, Rostro, Plaza del Rostro, Callejón del Gato, San Andrés, Martínez Molina, Plaza Santa Luisa de Marillac, Uribe, Carnero, Santa Úrsula, Plaza de la Magdalena, Empedrada de la Magdalena, Juanito el Practicante, Llana de San Juan, Plaza de San Juan, Almendros Aguilar, Plaza de la Merced, Merced Alta, Cantón de Jesús, Cantón de Santa Ana, Carrera de Jesús, and finishing back at Plaza de Santa María.

Once again, Jaén is preparing to experience a magical day where sports, tradition, and culture come together to celebrate the shortest night of the year—a night to welcome good energy and good omens for the rest of the year.

Alongside the usual sponsors (Ayuntamiento de Jaén, Junta de Andalucía, Diputación Provincial, Universidad de Jaén, and Caja Rural de Jaén), this year Construcciones Calderón joins the event, in addition to VivaGym, AktivJaén, Cruzcampo, La Loma, Gráficas La Paz, and Carrefour.
